Our Coffee
Gloria Patri Coffee is specialty grade, 100% arabica, small batch, artisan roasted coffee. Our roasters have over 25 years of combined specialty coffee roasting experience. What makes specialty coffee so special? To qualify as specialty coffee the coffee must score 80 points or above on the 100 point grading scale set by the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association). Certified Q-Graders taste and score coffee (called cupping) based on fragrance, flavor, aftertaste, acidity, body, and balance. These are the best coffees in the world and these are the only coffees we source. We only work with the most reputable importers to ensure that our beans are ethically sourced. We have visited many of the farms we buy from and we maintain direct relationships with the producers.
How fresh is your coffee? We're roasting coffee every day at our roastery in downtown Columbia, Tennessee. When you place an order on our website, the coffee you receive will typically be no more than one week old. Meaning one week from its roast date. When we say it's fresh, we mean really FRESH.
Glory Be - Medium
Our namesake and flagship medium roast. A blend of Latin American and African coffees. Gently roasted to maximize sweetness. Designed to be a crowd pleaser, this coffee hits right in the center of nearly every parishioners palate.
Our Father
The Our Father is our darkest roast. Sweet with a hint of smoke. Don't worry, it's not burnt and oily. It's smooth & bold. Roasted to a deep matte brown finish. Perfect for espresso. Strong, but balanced as drip. Rich and full-bodied as French Press.
Hail Mary
The Hail Mary is our lightest roast, but don't think for a second it's "weak". It may be our most complex and flavorful blend. It has a bright, pleasant acidity with notes of citrus and berries. Amazing as drip coffee. Really shines as a pour over. If you want to try something unique on espresso this is worth a shot.
Glory Be - Decaf
You asked, we listened..... the decaf version of our Glory Be Blend is here! Enjoy this delicious coffee minus the jolt. For those of you who are decaf aficionados, our decaf is always Swiss Water Processed or Mountain Water Processed. No chemical solvents are used. Perfect for delicate hearts, nursing mothers, or anyone who wants an evening cup and a good nights sleep, this is for you.
